Individual guest reviews

Comfortable and convenient for all amenities.

Needs "air con" in bedrooms and can hear traffic from road at front, and train at rear.

A clean fresh room; friendly attentive staff & reasonable food. What more could I ask for on my overnight stay.

We enjoyed our stay at The Rhinewood. The staff were excellent both in the hotel, bar and restaurant and did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfast was very well cooked but we were not keen on the sausage used and think they could be changed, The room was looking somewhat worn with the furniture showing lots of signs of wear and tear. It was difficult to open the wardrobe as it had no handles and no key with which to open it. Also, there were no spare pillows and we only had one each on the bed so had to request extra which it is fair to say appeared very quickly thanks to your manager. We hope this information is of use to you.

The staff were friendly, there is plenty of car parking, and nice gardens. We could take the dogs with no extra charge. The room was clean. The location was good.

The windows in our room and the corridors needed a good clean, walking along the downstairs corridor it smelled of cigarette smoke. And people were smoking immediately outside the front door where the hotel have placed a cigarette bin. We took our two dogs and were given a room upstairs, and at the furthest end from a door to the outside.

It is lovely hotel, my 2nd visit there and the staff were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent.

They had ran out of vodka! There was a wedding party the night before who had plenty of cocktails! Though the staff said that it was a lovely wedding and in my experience weddings are fab there!

Lovely room, although small compared to other hotels in a similar price range. Food excellent and staff very attentive - when we could find them!

Found this hotel rather cold and clinical, not cosy or warm/welcoming, it felt very 'business' like, more for the corporate exec. The restaurant was virtually empty, only three of us in there for an evening meal. Although the food was of an excellent quality and good value for money. Breakfast was ok, was asked what we wanted rather than offered a select, that was after we had to ask at reception for the waiting staff. Complimentary morning paper never appeared either. Overall this was a reasonable stay, we paid half the normal price - I would not have paid the full price of £130 for the service we received.

Poor service on first night in restaurant

Working in Warrington , easy access for the motorways . No need to look for food as restaurant in the hotel has a good menu .

    I could take my dog

When I arrived the reception ws efficient but too fast - he rattled through all the information - clearly something he did sevral times a day and knew off by heart - but I having just driven 3000 miles dtruggled to take it all in.

    excellent staff

Newspapers didn't arrive until late. £15 for fish and chips. Wafer thin walls meant I heard the next person snoring. Train track runs parallel to rear.

Staff were excellent, very helpful at all times, was made to feel very welcome.

It was convenient for my business meetings.

Despite saying that WiFi was available inall rooms, this was not the case. We had to be moved from a room that had no signal, to a room that was supposedly "good" but had a poor signal. The dining room is bare and souless. They did not have any of the 3 bottles of wine we tried to order, nor did they have any tomato juice. Waitress couldnot answer any questions as to what was on the menu that night. This hotel is not value for money.

    comfortable and peaceful

We had booked a twin room but when we arrived were told that there weren't any so we could only have a double. Thankfuly I was travelling with my sister!

It was a lovely hotel and one lady was very nice the next morning. We arrived about 12 at night. Noone was at the reception. When the guy finally came he looked like a guy who had been on a night out with the "lads" ! He hardly knew any answers to what we asked. I then realised that there was blood on my pillow and sheets which was not mine!! The breakfast was horrible aswell. Would not stay again!!
